Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. William L. Cribb. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Pallbearers were J.D. Lankford, Johnnie Ballard, Joe Branch, Lee Raiford, Calvin Brantley and A.C. Carr Jr. Ellis died Monday, Nov. 27 at 10:30 a.m. in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of Green County, Ga. He was a son of William E. and Mrs. Fannie Killian Ellis and the husband of Mrs. Josie Holland Ellis. He was a Baptist and a merchant and farmer. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Brenda Ellis Warren of Franklin; a son, Wayne Douglas Ellis of Ivor; nine sisters, Mrs. Corea Puitt, Blairsville, Ga.; Mrs. Bonnie Lutz, Lutz, Fla.; Mrs. Claudine Stronberg and Mrs. Mildred Sparkman of Tampa., Fla.; Mrs. Ruby Fritzgerald, Fairfield, Ohio; Mrs. Edna Wykoff, Yorktown,; Mrs. Clyde Jackson, Warrick,; Mrs. Mary Harrison, Newport News,; Mrs. Sue Holt, Cresent City, Fla., four brothers, Leonard Ellis, Zellwood, Fla.; Fletcher Ellis, Four Oaks, N.C.; Horace Ellis, Pomona Park, Fla.; and William K. Ellis of Crescent City, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
