Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Helen Parker Ellis; eight sons, Melvin, Jesse Jr., Ashley, Harry, Thomas Royce, Burnell, James and Frank Ellis; a step-mother, Mrs. Scrapp Ellis of Burdette; two sisters, Mrs. R.O. Brantley and Mrs. B.D. Vasser; two brothers, J.T. and L.B. Ellis; three half-brothers, W.F., J.W. and C.R. Ellis, and three half- sisters, Mrs. W.L. Brown, Misses Myrtle and Ruby Ellis. Pallbearers were Charlie Parker, Clifton Parker, Wade Parker, Fred Parker, Sidney Ellis and James H. Ellis.
