Ellis, were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the home by his Pastor, Rev. J.L. Kibler of Boykins. Mr. Ellis was the son of the late Samuel and Mrs. Fannie Williams Ellis. He was a native of Southampton, born June 9, 1850 and in 1875 he married Miss Sarah Elizabeth Jordan, who died in June 1934. He is survived by nine children: Mrs. S.T. Beale of Branchville; Mrs. T.W. Edwards of Huntington, W.Va.; Mrs. I.C. Bishop of Bluefield, W.Va.; Mrs. J.R. Livesay of Rocky Mount, N.C.; J.T. Ellis of Richmond, J.E. Ellis of Sebrell, P.L. Ellis of Branchville and M.L. Ellis. Active pallbearers were C.E. Cobb, J.R. Livesay, E.Q. Murfee, Allen Partridge, J.V. Beale and John Livesay. Flower bearers were his granddaughters, great-granddaughters and great nieces. Interment was made in Capron Cemetery. Thomas E.
