All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LOUISE ANN ELLSWORTH Mrs. Louisa Ann Ellsworth, aged 92, died Sunday morning at her home in the Berlin community following an illness of several months. Mrs. Ellsworth was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Sheppard Slade of this county, and the widow of Edward Thomas Ellsworth. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lula M. Turner of Hopewell and Mrs. C.N. Hatch of Disputania; two sons H.E. Ellsworth of Franklin and W.F. Ellsworth of Sedley; 30 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock from her home by the Rev. B.H. Watkins of Wakefield Christian Church, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Wright of Wakefield and the Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Franklin Baptist Church. The deceased was a member of Barrett’s Christian Church. A quartette sang "Meet Me There" and "Jesus, I Come" at the home, singing "Shall We Gather at the River" at the grave in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. Pallbearers were William Duffy, Oscar Warren, Wallace, Ellsworth, Walter Hatch, Frank Ellsworth, Ben Hatch, Lewis Williams, and Crawford Ellsworth. Friends of the family were honorary pallbearers.
