Holland and Sons Funeral Chapel, Franklin, by the Rev. Roy Arnold. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Roger Butler, Carlton Butler, Chuck Knoles, Bobby Tyree, J.T. Williams, George W. Williams, Demsey Joyner, and Lawford Lynch. English, 52, died Saturday in his home. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of John Thomas and Mrs. Josephine Carr English and the husband of Mrs. Vida Brock English. He was a member of Adam’s Grove Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, John C. English of Greensboro, N.C., and Robert Earl English of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Pate of Harrisburg, Pa., and Miss Carolyn English of Drewryville; and two grandchildren.
