EMMONS BOYKINS - Mrs. Mabel Reese Emmons, 70, died Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in her home. A native of Halifax County, she was a daughter of Joel Albert and Mrs. Pattie Greenwood Reese and the wife of Willard R. Emmons. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church and a charter member of Boykins Woman's Club. Besides her husband, surviving are two daughters, Miss Ann E. Emmons of Richmond and Miss Mildred G. Emmons of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. A.G. Smith of Maidens, Va., and Mrs. John G. Moffett of Fishersville; and a brother, Robert R. Reese of Richmond. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Boykins Baptist Church by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, with McDowell Funeral Home in charge.
