DARDEN EURE Mrs. Sallie Darden Eure, 80, widow of Richard B. Eure and daughter of the late Elisha H. and Nancy Wilson Darden of Nansemond County, died Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Daughtrey, in Suffolk after a year’s illness. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Eure is survived by two granddaughters, Misses Sarah and Nan Daughtrey of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Eva Hines of Franklin, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Eure was the oldest member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church, was active in its societies and for many years was superintendent of the Cradle Roll department. She had made her home in Suffolk for the past nine years and had affiliated with the Christian Church of that city. Services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the home of her daughter, conducted by Dr. John G. Truitt of Suffolk Christian Church, Dr. Elwood W. Jones of Franklin Congregational Christian Church and the Rev. Herbert G. Councill of Portsmouth. Burial took place in Poplar Spring Cemetery here with the following pallbearers: E.O. Forbes, E.P. Forbes, A.D. Forbes, Howard Barrett, G.P. Darden, Watkins Darden, Romie Darden and Lloyd Darden. Sarah M. "Sallie" (DARDEN; Mrs. Richard B.)
