FAISON'S FUNERAL CONDUCTED Funeral services for Joseph Harold Faison, 51, resident of Franklin for 30 years, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins and the Rev. R.D. Stevenson. Mr. Faison died of a heart condition unexpectedly Saturday although he had suffered several previous attacks. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. An electrician he became ill while at work at a Franklin plant, but died before any aid could reach him. He was the son of Walter Henry Faison and the late Mrs. Rebecca Moss Faison of Northampton County, North Carolina, and the widower of Mrs. Ruth Bray Faison. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Franklin Whitley of Franklin; his father in Margarettesville, N.C., a sister, Mrs. Paul Calvert of Jackson, N.C., two grandchildren, and three brothers, William H. Faison of Richmond, Garland Moss Faison and Richard W. Faison of Portsmouth, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Faison was a member of the Baptist Church in Franklin. He had been employed for the past 16 years at the Camp Manufacturing Co. Active pallbearers include W.T. Pace, Jr., Johnny Panton, George Jakeman, Scott Lassiter, Henry Thorne, C.A. Cutchins, 3rd, Otis Rainey and D.C. Blythe. The arrangements were handled by the W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in Franklin.
