Faison of this town, died at Lakeview Hospital, Suffolk, Sunday morning in her 30th year, after an illness of about one month. Mrs. Faison was a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and they have made their home here for the last seven years. Besides her husband and a daughter, Lessie, Mrs. Faison is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.O. Bray of Roanoke Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Gilland and Miss Gertrude Bray of Roanoke Rapids and Mrs. Sam Scofield of Oakland, N.J., and by one brother, Cleopas Bray of Roanoke Rapids. She was a consistent member of High Street M.E. Church, and funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Geo. H. Spooner. During the service, the church choir sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide with Me." Interment was made in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Ruth Etta (BRAY; Mrs. Joseph H.)
