ELTON P. FUTRELL 

  FRANKLIN - Elton Purviance Futrell, 67, a retired farmer, died Sunday night 
in Patrick Henry Hospital, Denbigh. 

  He was the husband of Mrs. Fannie Vick Futrell and a son of Frank and Mrs. 
Ada Belch Futrell. 

  A native of Northampton County, he was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church. 

  Besides his widow, surviving are three daughters, Mrs. J.W. Sumner of 
Franklin, Mrs. Bennie B. Grizzard and Mrs. A.L. Latimer of Suffolk; a son, 
Elton P. Futrell Jr. of Boykins; a stepson, Rufus E. Williams of Washington; 
two sisters, Mrs. John Vick of Conway, N.C. and Mrs. Vetell Barden of 
Potecasi, N.C.; two brothers, Adron Futrell of Ahoskie, N.C. and Nemiah 
Futrell of Newport News; seven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland 
& Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. L.F. Smith of South Quay Baptist 
Church and the Rev. Allen Lawrence of Newsoms Baptist Church.  Burial will 
be in the family cemetery near Conway, N.C.
