All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIE SAUNDERS FUTTRELL Willie Saunders Futtrell age 45 years, well known resident of Franklin since 1939 died Friday morning in Raiford Memorial Hospital after suffering ill health for many months. Mr. Futtrell was the husband of Mrs. Margaret Mann Futtrell of Franklin and son of Mr. C. Wesley and Nettie Futtrell of Northampton County, N.C. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. Besides his wife and parents he is survived by one son Michael Irving Futtrell of Franklin, four brothers, Ray Futtrell of Severn, Wilmer Futtrell of Seaboard, N.C., Fred Futtrell of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Harold Futtrell of Enfield, three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Edwards of Branchville, Mrs. Euclid Howell of Murfreesboro, N.C. and Mrs. Mack Howell of Seaboard, N.C. and a number of nieces and nephews. Remains were taken to the funeral home of W.J.M. Holland and Sons of Franklin where funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 o'clock by Rev. Ira D. Hudgins with interment in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Rayon Allen, Alonza Joyner, T.G. Harcum, L.B. Norfleet, Jack Hassett, and Philip Blythe.
