All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ IDA BELLE WHITLEY FELTS CULPEPER - Mrs. Ida Belle Whitley Felts, 83, of Capron, widow of Emmett Allen Felts, died at Virginia Baptist Home here Saturday afternoon. Daughter of James Wesley and Sarah Ferguson Whitley, she was a native of Southampton County. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Joseph R. Johnson of Lynchburg; three sons, L.M. Felts of Boykins, R.S. Felts of Highland Springs, and J.N. Felts of Galax; a sister, Mrs. R.E. Callahan, Sr., of Emporia; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted today (Monday) at 2 p.m. at the Holland Funeral Chapel, Franklin, by Dr. Joseph R. Johnson of Lynchburg and the Rev. Bernard Lasure of Culpeper. Burial was in Emporia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Eldridge Felts, Joseph Johnson, Jr., Bobby Johnson, Stanley Felts, Jr., Everett Felts, Michell Felts, Nickie Felts and Phillip Felts.
