Verbie Council Felts 

  IVOR - Verbie Council Felts, 91, died Friday, July 20, in Lawrenceville. 

  Mrs. Felts was a native of Southampton County.  Mrs. Felts was a member of 
the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.  She was the widow of Edgar M. Felts and the 
daughter of the late Samuel D. and Sallie C. Council.  She was predeceased by 
a son, Leslie C. Felts. 

  Survivors include two daughters, Doris Felts Griffin of Dolphin and Ruby 
Felts Atkinson of Portsmouth; a sister, Louise Atkinson of Newport News; five 
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. 

  Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 22, at 2 p.m. at the Purviance 
Funeral Home, Wakefield officiated by Rev. Jerry Edwards.  Burial was in the 
Ivor Cemetery.
