DORIS VAUGHAN FELTON

   FRANKLIN - Doris Vaughan Felton, 64, of the 400 block of Crescent Drive, 
a retired clerk, died Jan. 30, in a nursing home.

   Mrs. Felton, a native of Southampton County, had retired from the sample 
department of Union Camp Corp.  She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

   Survivors include a daughter, Roberta S. Harrell of Suffolk; and four 
grandchildren, Wanda Smith, Tara Smith, Brandy Harrell and Jaime Harrell.

   The funeral was conducted Sunday in Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. 
Michael Clingenpeel and Ira Hudgins.  Burial was in the Poplar Spring 
Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be sent to the National Arthritis 
Foundation or a favorite charity.
