ALICE FLETCHER STONE FOWLER

   HANDSOM - A funeral service for Mrs. Fletcher Stone Fowler, 79, was held 
Friday, Jan. 1, at 3 p.m. in Mount Horeb United Methodist Church by the Revs. 
Arthur Green, Harry W. Bunch, and Kenneth Williams.  Burial was in Poplar 
Spring Cemetery with Wright Funeral Home in charge.

   Mrs. Fowler died Dec. 29 in Norfolk General Hospital.  A native of 
Nansemond County, she was the widow of Harry Edward Fowler and a member of 
Mount Horeb United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.

   Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ann Shelton Britt of Handsom; a sister, 
Miss R. Louise Stone of Suffolk; a niece, Mrs. Rose W. Hyatt of Chesapeake, a 
great niece and great nephew.
