William O. Hudson. McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, was in charge. Active pallbearers were J.C. Bunn Jr., Bennie Bunn, Harry Shaw, Randolph Drake, Randolph Fowler, Joseph Sykes, Braxton Holcombe; Bernard Person Jr., and Roland Ellis. Fowler died Monday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Ruby Bunn Fowler and a son of Randall and Mrs. Anna Gilliam Fowler. He was a bookkeeper for Sykes Hatchery, and a member of Boykins United Methodist Church. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Annie Laura Sykes of Boykins; a brother W.R. Fowler of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Ellis of Portsmouth and Mrs. Mary Bryant of Jacksonville, Fla.; a grandson, John D. Sykes, Jr.; a great granddaughter, Miss Sandra B. Sykes, both of Lawrenceville.
