HERSEY NAPOLEON FOWLER

   Hersey Napoleon Fowler,  a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, died 
a little after seven o’clock on Tuesday morning, July 13, at Raiford Memorial 
Hospital after an illness of many months.  At the time of his death he was 60* 
years of age.

   Mr. Fowler was the husband of Mrs. Ruth Snipes Fowler and son of the late 
Quinton W. and Nancy Norfleet Fowler of Isle of Wight County.  He was a member 
of the Franklin Baptist Church and the Bruner Bible Class, and he had been 
employed by the Camp Manufacturing Company as an electrician for the past 
forty years.

   Besides his wife Mr. Fowler is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George 
Laffoon of Richmond, Miss Lelia Mae Fowler of Franklin, and Miss Ruby Fowler 
of Suffolk; four sons, Herbert, William, Hersey, Jr., and Lee Fowler, all of 
Franklin; a sister, Mrs. J.J. Magee of Franklin; and two brothers, Joseph 
Fowler of Franklin and Willie Fowler of Richmond.

   Funeral services for Mr. Fowler were conducted at the Franklin Baptist 
Church on Thursday afternoon at three o’clock by Rev. Randolph Gregory. 
Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the pallbearers being E.K. Brinkley, 
Hugh D. Camp, Burton J. Ray, Leland P. Simmons, R.J. Tucker, R.H. Allen, 
William H. Cutchin and L.B. Holland.
