Fuller W.H. Fuller died quietly in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Kirkland, of the Boykins community Sunday morning at 11 o'clock after an illness of some time. He is survived by the following sons: W.H. Fuller, Jr., and C.F. Fuller of Richmond, C.W. Fuller of Boykins and Paul W. Fuller of Branchville; five daughters: Mrs. R.H. Beale of Emporia, Mrs. M.D. Bryant of Capron, Mrs. Robert Kirkland of Boykins, Mrs. Herbert Vick of Handsom and Mrs. Jack Overby of Emporia. He is also survived by 43 grandchildren and 29 great-children. Funeral services were conducted from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kirkland Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock. Dr. R.A. Helton of the Boykins Baptist Church officiated, and the music was furnished by the members of the Boykins Baptist Choir. Active and honorary pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased. Interment was made in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. William 2m. widow Rosa Lee (BRYANT; Mrs. Robert O.) JOHNSON (1888 - 1972) 29 Dec 1931 (Southampton Co. #290). She is buried with her first husband in Beechwood Cemetery (Annex 1, Sect. I, Plot 1). Her obit ("Suffolk News-Herald," Feb. 14, 1972, p. 8) is posted at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/obits/f460r5ob.txt D.Cert. 28168 (Boykins #30) gives son of W.H. FULLER & Patsy SIMMONS; widower of Varina H. FULLER; the informant was his son C.W. FULLER. Rather, his first wife was Marina Ann (NEAL) FULLER (1864 - 1905). She is marked with William, but was buried in a FULLER family cemetery off Vicks Millpond Rd. Her stone there is broken. His father (b. 1831) was a Confederate veteran, having served as a private in Co. H. 41st VA Infantry. He was murdered 24 Dec 1877.
