All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM HENRY FOWLER William Henry Fowler, age 81 years, well known resident of Black Creek community died at his home near Franklin Thursday night November 2, after an illness of many months. Mr. Fowler was the husband of Mrs. Sarah Cutchin Fowler, and son of the late William H. and Annie C. Fowler of Southampton County. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church joining the church in his early childhood. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Annie F. Beale of Suffolk, Miss Mary E. Fowler of Franklin; four sons, William H. Fowler of Isle of Wight County, L.H. Fowler of Suffolk, Johnnie Fowler of Franklin and Charlie Fowler of Holland; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, one brother, Benjamin F. Fowler of Nansemond County, one sister, Mrs. Annie Fowler Everett of North Carolina. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home at 2:00 by Rev. W.B. Watson. Interment was in the family cemetery. Active pallbearers were Oscar Bridgers, Junie Rose, Elvin Whitley, S.L. Hines, Charlie Bridgers and Lenwood Smith.
