Johnson, in the Franklin community after a few days illness. Miss Flowers was the daughter of the late Thomas and Caroline Diggs Flowers, of Anson County, N.C. and came to Franklin 30 years ago to live with her sister, Mrs. Sallie Flowers Johnson and William Johnson. Both preceded her in death many years ago. She is survived by seven nieces, Mrs. G.W. Liverman and Mrs. W. Frank Robertson of Norfolk; Miss Carrie Johnson of Franklin; Misses Lena, Mary Belle and Jeanette Flowers and Mrs. Aubrey Garner of Charlotte, N.C.; three nephews, Thomas P. Johnson of Strathmere, N.J.; Charles Flowers of Washington and J.A. Johnson of Franklin. Services were conducted from the residence at five o’clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Franklin Baptist Church. Burial followed in Poplar Spring Cemetery here, with the following pallbearers: J.C. Daughtrey, G.R. Eubank, Alfred Cobb, Clayton Cobb, Walter Beale and Dewey Howell.
