MYRTILLA (WINKLE) PETTY FLOWERS

Mrs. Myrtilla (Winkle) Petty Flowers, age 76, of Drewryville, Va., widow 
of Jerry Bruce Flowers, Sr., died April 30, 1978 in Greensville Memorial 
Hospital.  She was born in Mecklenburg Co., Va. and was the daughter of the 
late Edmond Lanier and Lola Crute Petty. Survived by one daughter, Dorothy F. 
Johnson, Drewryville; one son, Jerry B. Flowers, Jr., Drewryville; one sister, 
Mrs. Irene P. Underhill of Richmond; six grandchildren; three great-
grandchildren. Graveside services 2 P.M. Tuesday, Drewryville Cemetery 
conducted by the Rev. Van Cash of Drewryville United Methodist Church. 
Remains rest at Echols Funeral Home, Emporia.
