All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY ELIZABETH WORRELL FERGUSON BOYKINS - A funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Worrell Ferguson was conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Boykins Baptist Church by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery with McDowell Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were James Carter, Frank E. Lee, Wilmer Lee, John Drewry, Benjamin Porter, Bobby Poland, Leroy Griffin and Walter Bishop. Mrs. Ferguson, 61, died in her home early Tuesday after a short illness. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Joseph B. Ferguson and a daughter of Mrs. Mary Ricks Worrell and the late Emmett F. Worrell. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church. Besides her mother, surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Raymond D. Bryant and Mrs. Ashby B. Gray of Newsoms, Mrs. James Porter and Mrs. Steve Gyoker of Boykins, and Mrs. James W. Sawyer of Branchville; two sons, Woodrow W. Ferguson of Franklin and James T. Ferguson of Boykins; a brothers, Howard Worrell of Boykins; a sister, Mrs. C.L. Hardison of Sneads Ferry, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mary Elizabeth (WORRELL; Mrs. Joseph B.)
