GUY PICOT FERGUSON

   BOYKINS - A funeral service for Guy Picot Ferguson was conducted in 
McDowell Funeral Home, Thursday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery of 
Boykins Baptist Church.  Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins.

   Pallbearers were Earl Fuller, C.W. Smith, Wilson Barnes, Elmo Rock, W.H. 
Britt, Lewis Knight, Hugh Powell and W.R. Emmons.

   Ferguson, 71, died Wednesday morning in his home.

   A native of Hertford County, N.C., he was a son of Jefferson D. and Mrs. 
Virginia Bryant Ferguson.  He was a member of Boykins Baptist Church.

   Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Tena F. Burden of Boykins and Mrs. Virginia 
F. Mays of Charlotte, N.C.; and two brothers, James E. Ferguson and Jeter D. 
Ferguson of Boykins.
