FERGUSON, SR. Robert E. Ferguson, Sr., 68, of Boykins died Friday night, July 27, in a Suffolk hospital after a long illness. He is survived by a son, R.E. Ferguson, Jr, of Severn, N.C. and a daughter, Mrs. M.M. Saunders of Windsor. Funeral serices were held in the Boykins Baptist Church at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with Rev. J.C. Ray, pastor of the Severn Baptist Church. Mrs. H.M. Purviance, accompanied by Miss Virginia Dare Ferguson sang "When They Ring Those Golden Bells." Interment was in Beechwood Cemetery, the pallbearers being Dr. J. M. Bland, J.C. Blow, Moncure Francis, Ray Futrell, Russell Joyner and J.Q. Taylor.
