A member of Sunbeam Baptist Church, he was a son of Samuel and Victoria Bryant Ferguson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Miles Ferguson; two daughters, Mrs. Elmore Whitley of Como and Mrs. Jack T. Story of Franklin; a son, Carlton E. Ferguson of Waverly; and a brother, Clarence Q. Ferguson of Newsoms. On Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock funeral services for Mr. Ferguson were conducted from Sunbeam Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. Louis F. Smith of Newsoms, and Rev. C..P. Cleveland of Kenbridge, a former pastor. Interment was in Newsoms Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Carl Bradshaw, Hersey Bradshaw, Clinton Ferguson, Russell Ferguson and Samuel Ferguson.
