VIRGINIA VICK FERGUSON 

   EMPORIA - A funeral service for Virginia Vick Ferguson, 72, was held 
at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Newsoms Cemetery by the Rev. Kenneth Williams.  Echols 
Funeral Home was a charge.

   Mrs. Ferguson died Sunday in her home.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the wife of Hugh L. Ferguson Sr.

   Other survivors include two sons, Hugh L. Ferguson Jr., and H. Richard 
Ferguson of Emporia; a half-sister, Alice Mae Jones of Franklin and a half-
brother, Harman Vick Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla.
