DONA VICK FRANCIS

   CAPRON - Mrs. Dona Vick Francis, 82, died at her home Friday.

   She was a native of North Carolina, a daughter of Frank and Mrs. Alice 
Bryant Vick, and widow of Joshua A. Francis.

   She was a member of Clarksbury Methodist Church.

   She is survived by her stepmother, Mrs. Katie Vick Bryant of Boykins; 
five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Draper of Boykins, Mrs. Elsie Dover of Portsmouth, 
Mrs. Jessie Withers of Hanesville, Mrs. Bertha Vaughan of Suffolk, and Mrs. 
Margaret Drake of Charlottesville; four sons, Moncure Francis, Herbert 
Francis, Vernie Francis, and L.T. Francis of Capron, four brothers, Herbert 
Vick of Handsom, A.D. Vick of Drewryville, William Vick of Boykins, and 
Randolph Vick of Richmond; five sisters, Mrs. Sophie Overby and Mrs. Grace 
Fuller of Richmond, Mrs. Cinderella Billups of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Bettie Sue 
Edwards and Mrs. Louise Francis of Boykins; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-
grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

   A funeral service was held today at 3:30 p.m. in McDowell Funeral Home, 
Boykins, by the Rev. C. Richard Scott.  Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, 
Boykins.

   Pallbearers were Bill Draper, Linwood Pope, Bryan Harrell, Milton Vick, Dr. 
D.C. Williams, D.P. Little, Aubrey W. Lee and Lona Francis.
