Francis of the Boykins community, died suddenly in Lynchburg, Tuesday, January 25, 1927, at the age of 27 years. He was the youngest of ten children and leaves to mourn their loss five brothers, A. Sidney Francis of Boykins, D.D. Francis of Margarettesville, N.C., E.C. Francis of Branchville, A.W. Francis of Smithfield, N.C., J.H. Francis of Richmond, and three sisters, Mrs. J.T. Moxley and Mrs. C.A. Thorpe of Miami, Florida, and Mrs. E.L. Scott of Norfolk. The body was brought to the home of his brother, A.S. Francis, and the burial service was read by Rev. C.H. Williams of the Methodist Church assisted by Rev. Frank B. Handley of Baptist Church. Interment was made in Beechwood Cemetery by the side of his mother.
