NATHAN FRANCIS

   Capron - A funeral service for Nathan Francis, 76, was held Saturday at 2:30 
p.m. in McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, by the Revs. Howard L. Vinson and Ira D. 
Hudgins. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery.

   He died Wednesday evening in his home.

   A native of Northampton County, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Ruby Banty 
Francis. He was a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church.

   He was a retired farmer and merchant.

   Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lucille F. Taylor of 
Murfreesboro, N.C., Mrs. Helen F. Gillette of Capron and Mrs. Lizzie F. Spivey 
of Franklin; a son, Nathan Francis Jr. of Conway; a sister, Mrs. Lottie S. Vick 
of Boykins; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
