She was a certified nursing assistant at Deerfield Correction Center, and a member of Sebrell United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Roy Roger Francis; her mother, Mildred Ricks Babb of Franklin; two daughters, Millie Bradshaw and husband Gary of Sedley and Karen R. Zeiber of Portsmouth; one sister, Janice B. Madron of Franklin; two brothers, Norman E. Babb and Tom Babb, both of Sebrell; five grandchildren, Stacey L. Bradshaw and Colby R. Bradshaw of Sedley, Summer K. Carr, Chance and Tori Carr of Portsmouth; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Vernon David Babb. A funeral was conducted Oct. 30 in Sebrell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elizabeth von Trapp Walter officiating. Burial was in Barn Tavern Cemetery, Sebrell. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society for the research of Pancreatic Cancer, c/o Mrs. Ruth Petty, 116 Southampton Road, Franklin, Va., 23851.
