CLYDE WALKER GAY 

   IVOR - A funeral service for Clyde Walker Gay, 64, of Rt. 1, Ivor, was held 
Thursday, May 4, at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral home by Rev. 
Claude Gatling.

   Burial was in Black Creek Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Will Holt, Jr., A.J. Holt, Haywood Lowe, Billy Warren, 
Will Stieth Jr., and Larry Overby.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a retired farmer.  He was the 
husband of Gladys Bradshaw Gay and a son of Simon McClause and Mrs. Sara E. 
Wellons Gay.  He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and its Men’s 
Bible Class.

   Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter Mrs. Emma G. Brothers of 
Monroe, Mich.; three sisters*, Mrs. Livey Turner of Franklin and Mrs. Allie 
Mumford* of Sedley and one granddaughter Miss Kimberly Gay Brothers.
