SALLIE MATILDA GAY

   IVOR - A graveside funeral service for Miss Sallie M. Gay was conducted 
Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Gay family cemetery in Ivor by the Rev. Edward B. 
Owen.  Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, was in charge.

   Pallbearers were Goodwin Gay, H.O. Gay, E.B. Owen, James Dickerson and 
Dick Norris.

   Miss Gay, 93, died Friday morning in her home.

   A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of George W. and Mrs. 
Virginia Britt Gay.

   She is survived by a brother, G. Wiley Gay of Ivor.


Sallie Matilda GAY, 
Southampton Co. native, d. 2 Feb 1968, at home, age 93, 
interred in the G.W. GAY family cemetery*, near Ivor, 4 Feb 1968,
