Mr. Gaskins in survived by his wife, Margaret Foster Gaskins; a daughter, Kim Porter of Emporia; a son, James W. Gaskins of Drewryville; two sisters, Delilah Williams of Suffolk and Margaret Salmon of Roanoke; a brother, Gerald Gaskins of Newport News; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Echols Funeral Home, Emporia, by the Rev. Glen Langston. Burial will be in the Drewryville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Drewryville United Methodist Church.
