Mr. Gyoker, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, retired [from] Union Camp Corp. He was a member of Courtland Baptist Church, and was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Pulley Gyoker; two daughters, Dorothy G. Cummings of Suffolk and Shirley G. Lorenz of Philadelphia, Pa.; a son, J.P. "Buster" Gyoker Jr. of Strausburg; a brother, Paul J. Gyoker of Courtland; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Darrell A. Smith. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.
