All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM MURRAY GUYTON William Murray Guyton, 77, retired railway foreman for Union Bag-Camp Paper Corp., died at his home on Barrett Street Monday after an illness of several months. He was the husband of Mrs. Mortie B. Brisson Guyton and the son of the late William F. and Eva Davis Guyton of Bladen County, North Carolina. He was a member of the High Street Methodist Church. Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Mrs. George Hunnings and Mrs. Ernest Bryant of Franklin, Mrs. Dan Parker, Portsmouth, and Mrs. Russell Nichols, Suffolk; two sons, William Caulder Guyton and William M. Guyton, Jr., both of Franklin; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Holland Funeral Chapel on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. by the Rev. James B. Douglas, pastor of the High Street Methodist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Pallbearers were R.E. Baker, Otis Blythe, J.B. Johnson, Robert C. Ray, Thomas Galtress, Joe King, Jr., Willie Burrows and Alden Gee.
