Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home by the Rev. Tucker G. Humphries, pastor of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. He was a member of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church and the Order of the Woodmen of the World, Camp 18. He was the husband of Mrs. Iona Joyner Gayle and son of the late James Benjamin Gayle and Mattie Doyle Gayle. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Wilbur Talmedge Gayle, Elezer Benjamin Gayle, Jr., Charles Roger Gayle and Wesley Cobb Gayle, all of Franklin; five brothers, James R., Alex T., and Claude S. Gayle, all of Carrollton, and George N. Gayle of Eclipse and Fitzhugh L. Gayle of Cradock; sister, Mrs. Irene Powell of Suffolk; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** ELEZER BENJAMIN GAYLE FRANKLIN - Elezer Benjamin Gayle, 55, died at his home here Tuesday night after an illness of many months. He was the husband of Mrs. Iona Joyner Gayle and a son of the late James Benjamin and Maggie Doyle Gayle. Mr. Gayle was a member of Franklin Congregation Church and of Lodge 18, Woodmen of the World. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Wilbur Talmage [sic] Gayle, Elezer Benjamin Gayle, Jr., Charles Roger Gayle and Wesley Cobb Gayle, all of Franklin; five brother, James Rollie Gayle, Alex Thonzer Gayle and Claude Swanson Gayle, all of Carrollton; George Nurney Gayle of Eclipse and Fitzhugh Lee Gayle of Cradock; a sister, Mrs. Irene Powell of Suffolk, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. today by the Rev. Tucker G. Humphries, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
