Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Gerald, Frank Bradshaw, Rawls M. Bradshaw, L.B. Adams, Bernard Lankford and Ryland Duck. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the son of John Robert Glover and Mrs. Lilly Lou Brock Glover and the wife of Mrs. Annie Parker Glover. Glover, 24, a sheet metal worker, drowned Thursday about 7:25 p.m. after falling out of a boat in the Blackwater River here. Coroner, Dr. Henry L. Gardner said he fell into water 25' deep near the north shore of the river in the Pinpoint section, according to a report given by a fishing companion, Clarence Story Jr. of Franklin. Police said they had no details about the drowning. The body was recovered about 8:30 p.m. by Franklin Rescue Squadsmen dragging the river. It was found only a few feet from the point Glover went into the water. Glover was employed by R.L. Tillett Sheet Metal Works near here. Surviving besides his wife, and parents are two sisters, Mrs. Sally D. Kirk of Holland, and Mrs. Grace D. Kotel of Franklin; three brothers, John R. Glover Jr. of Newsoms, Milton Lee Glover and Joseph G. Dundalow of Franklin.
