Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were William H. Cutchins, T.A. Gillette, John McGee, Kemper Daughtrey, Gillette Bryant, Garland Davis, Cecil Gillette and Lewis Davis. Mrs. Gillette was the oldest member of the Franklin Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Daniel Cobb Gillette and the daughter of the late Lemuel and Mary Blythe Joyner. Surviving Mrs. Gillette are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Louise Balfour of Richmond and Mrs. Minnie Thomas Beaton; one son, D.C. Gillette Jr.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
