All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ REBECCA CHAPPELL GILLETTE CAPRON - Mrs. Rebecca Chappell Gillette, 30*, died Thursday night in Raiford Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness. She was the wife of Alfred Percy Gillette and the daughter of Herbert Hart and Mrs. Romine Sue Camp Chappell of Sedley. She was a member of Capron Methodist Church, Women’s Society of Christian Service, Capron Woman’s Club and a former teacher of home economics. Surviving besides her husband and parents are three daughters, Carole Ann Gillette, Margaret Sue Gillette and Martha Jean Gillette; two sons, William Hart Gillette and Alfred Darden Gillette, all of Capron; three sisters, Mrs. Rainey Hundley and Mrs. Ida C. Beaton of Sedley and Mrs. Charles L. Bailey of Suffolk and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Capron Methodist Church Saturday at 3 p.m. conducted by the Rev. J.S. Peebles, pastor. Pallbearers were Roland Baker, S.V. Camp, 3rd, William Simmons, Lon Marks, Paul Camp Marks and Warren Beale. Rebecca (CHAPPELL; Mrs. Alfred P.)
