THOMAS ASBURY GILLETTE, SR.

  FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Thomas Asbury Gillette Sr., 85, of 501 
Norfleet Street was held Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery 
by the Rev. Charles Smith.

  W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home had charge.

  A native of Southampton County, he was a retired insurance agent.

  He was a member of Franklin Christian Church.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen G. Skidmore, and a son, Thomas A. 
Gillette, Jr., both of Norfolk, a sister, Miss Lucille Gillette of Courtland, 
and 2 granddaughters.
