ASHBY RUSSELL GRAY

   BOYKINS - A funeral service for Ashby Russell Gray, 66, was held Sunday 
at 3 p.m. in Beechwood Cemetery by Cafer Morley.  McDowell Funeral Home had 
charge.

   Gray died Saturday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Mattie Worrell 
Gray.

   He was a member of Boykins United Methodist Church.

   Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Doris G. Branch of Ivor and 
Mrs. Barbara C. Gray of Capron and Marvin P. Gray of Shallotte, N.C.; and 
four grandchildren.
