All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EZRA FENTON GRAY Ezra Fenton Gray, 57, for the past 30 years an employee of the Franklin post office, died in a Richmond hospital on Sunday morning, March 11, after a long period of ill health. He was the husband of Mrs. Margaret Vick Gray* of Franklin, and the son of the late George and Annie Branch Gray of this county. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church and its Bruner Bible Class and of Franklin Lodge No. 51, Knights of Pythias. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Smith Fenton Gray; one brother, Wesley E. Gray of Framingham, Mass; one sister, Mrs. Laura Gray Vick of Jacksonville, Fla; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Gray were conducted at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with Revs. R.S. Gregory and R.D. Stephenson officiating. Active pallbearers were all associates of Mr. Gray at the post office. They were Hudson R. Lankford, Otto Harcum, Exum N. White, Thomas P. White, T. Hayes Holland and Frank Story Cutchin.
