ELVIN THOMAS GRAY

   Newsoms - Elvin Thomas Gray, 62, died Thursday afternoon in his home.

   He was a native of Southampton County and the husband of Mrs. Gracie Britt 
Gray. He was a self-employed carpenter.

   He was a member of Barnes United Methodist Church.

   Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Audrey G. Pope in Newsoms, Mrs. 
Catherine G. Parker of Sedley, and Mrs. Brenda G. Francis of Murfreesboro, N.C.; 
two brothers, Edward C. Gray and Ashby B. Gray of Newsoms; six grandchildren; 
and a great granddaughter.

   A funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Barnes United Methodist Church 
by the Rev. Harry Bunch and the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in 
Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. McDawell Funeral Home, Boykins has charge.
