ESTHER COPPERSMITH GRAY

   FRANKLIN - Funeral services for Esther Coopersmith Gray, 86, were held 
Jan. 31 in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins.  Burial was in 
Poplar Spring cemetery.

   Pallbearers were: Wayne Gray, Bobby Holland, Kenneth Hemmings, Clayton 
Darden, Delbro Johnson, and Steven Gray.

   Gray died Jan. 27 in a Richmond hospital.

   She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the widow of Junie Fleetwood 
Gray.

   She was a member of the first Baptist Church.

   Survivors include a daughter, Pauline G. Lowe of Franklin; five sons, 
Otis C. Gray of Richmond, Norwood Gray and Robert Gray of Franklin, Paul 
Gray of Chatham and Willard Gray of Delta Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren.
