GRAY DIES SUDDENLY YESTERDAY George M. Gray of this town died suddenly yesterday afternoon about 2:30 o’clock at the home of his son, Ezra F. Gray, in Clay Street. Mr. Gray was 67 years of age, and surviving him are two sons, Ezra F. Gray of Franklin and W.E. Gray of Boston; a daughter, Mrs. P.A. Vick of Norfolk; a brother, Emmett Gray of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and a sister, Mrs. Addie M. Beaton of Sedley. He was a consistent member of the Franklin Christian Church, a good citizen, living a quiet, unostentatious life. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at 3:30 at the Franklin Christian Church with Dr. Elwood W. Jones officiating. Active pallbearers will be; R.C. Branch, W.H. Lankford, A.J. Skinner, J.R. Lawrence, W.F. Cooper, J.L. Gillette, Stafford Beaton, and L.R. Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bible Class of the Christian Church. Burial will be made in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
