GRAY Mrs. Irene Ferguson Gray, 71, died at the residence near Pope, this county, on Wednesday morning, May 2, after an illness of several years' duration. She was the daughter of the late William and Indiana Ferguson, and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church near Joyner. Surviving are two sons, Charlie L. Gray of Courtland and William H. Gray of Columbia, Mo.; two daughters Mrs. Marvin Pulley of Courtland and Mrs. Surry J. Harrup of Joyner; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; five sisters, Mrs. Otella Furgerson of Courtland, Mrs. Mary A. Harrup of Dendron, Mrs. Carrie Holloway of Waverly, Mrs. Lillian Logan of Surry, and Mrs. Gussie Taylor of Sedley. Last rites were conducted at the graveside in the family cemetery on Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. L.O. Wright, pastor of the Capron Methodist Church.
