COURTLAND - A graveside funeral service for Joseph Henry Gray Jr. was conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by the Rev. R.A. Gergdoll. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Emerson Kitchen, Will Simmons, Julian Tillery, Joe King, Lineberry Grissom, J.P. Simmons, Willie N. Whitehead and Stafford Camp. Gray, 74, died Saturday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Franklin, he was the husband of Mrs. Maria Camp Gray and a son of William Henry and Mrs. Alice Cutchins Gray. He was a Methodist and a retired farmer. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Miss Alice Elizabeth Gray of Courtland and Mrs. Jane Gray Stauffer of Richmond; a son, Joseph H. Gray III of Courtland; and five grandchildren.
