Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Robert D. Fridley of High Street Methodist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Curtis Rose, Jimmy Surace, Jet Handford, George Hedgepeth, Robert Hollowell, Floyd Wall, Otto Harcum and Robert Owens. Gray, 47, died in Southampton Memorial Hospital Wednesday after a brief illness. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Anna Cutchins Gray and a son of Mrs. Blanche Miles and the late Willie Davis Gray. He was supervisor for St. Regis Paper, a member of Franklin Methodist Church, and a Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his widow and mother, surviving are a son, Oscar Lee Gray Jr. of Sandston; three brothers, Berkley Gray and Ashley Gray and Boykins and Marvin Gray of Shallotte, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Cogsdale of Boykins; and two grandchildren.
