James T. Campbell officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery pastor of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Pallbearers were: Al Washington, Jerry Barnes, Barry Barnes, Wayne Edwards, W. Hugh Powell, and J.M. Powell. A native of Northampton Co., North Carolina, she was a daughter of Nathaniel Thomas and Mrs. Annie Griffin Smith. She was the wife of John T. (Jack) Griffin. She was a member of the Boykins Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Griffin is survived by a daughter Mrs. Edith G. Kirkland of Boykins; a son, Howard B. Griffin of Jamestown, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Lila Mae Washington of Boykins; and Mrs. Ruth Scarborough of Waverly; three brothers, T.B. (Jack) Smith of Boykins, Arthur W. Smith of Franklin, and Carlton F. Smith of Norfolk; and five grandchildren. Homie (SMITH; Mrs. "Jack" John T.
