Griffin, age 68 years, widow of the late L.E. Griffin, died January 25, 1922, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.P. Minshew, near Boykins. She had been failing in health for several months, but was confined to her bed for only six weeks. During this time, in spite of the care of loving hands and hearts and of her faithful physician, she continued to grow worse. She bore it all with the sweet, submissive spirit shown through life as Christian, friend and mother, never murmuring, but answering everyone with a smile, saying "I’m better," until the end, and passed away in a sweet, peaceful sleep. She is survived by four children; Mrs. Annie L. Ward, Battleboro, N.C.; Mrs. A.P. Minshew, Boykins; Miss Lizzie Griffin, Williamsburg, and J.E. Griffin, Petersburg. Sarah E.
